Organic, foraged Valentines decor that comes together as naturally as love. This is the inspiration behind my Valentines decorations, and what led me to create a single stem, heart tree. A piece that is simple, heartwarming and transitional for the changing over of seasons to come.

The key to a great looking Valentines tree is finding a branch that has just the right amount of stem spread. I used a cutting from a maple tree, as I adore their autumnal tones of red, brown and green. After carefully removing all of its leaves, I found the best position for my branch in a tall glass vase, against an otherwise blank wall. However, you can place your Valentines trees anywhere! They make a great table centrepiece.

From here you may decorate it as you please. I adorned mine with a deep burgondy silk ribbon, scattered along the tree in varying heights. A fabric hanging, toile heart was the final touch.

Lit warmly besides candles or a fireplace, this Valentines Heart tree is the perfect way to celebrate all things friendship and love in your home, this February.
